Simpson at 17 years old, started her singing career in choirs of the church. She signed with Columbia Records in 1997. The album she released as her debut album, Sweet Kisses (1999) was a huge success, selling two million copies across the United States and saw the commercial success of her single "I I Want To Love You Forever". Simpson's second studio album Irresistible, was a maturer release. The album's title track was Simpson's second-highest charting Billboard Hot 100 entry. The Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) declared the album gold. This Skin (2003) Simpson's third studio album sold three million copies across the United States. In her previous professional career, Simpson became known for her relationship with and later wedding to Nick Lachey along with whom she also appeared on the MTV reality show Newlyweds: Nick and Jessica between 2003 and 2005. Simpson made her movie debut in The Dukes of Hazzard (2006) as Daisy Duke after the release of ReJoyce: The Christmas Album (2004). She also recorded the cover version of "These Boots Are Made For Walkin'" to be used in the soundtrack to the film. In 2006 she released her fifth studio album A Public Affair and appeared in the romantic comedy film Employee of the Month. Simpson began her journey into country music by releasing Do You Know (2008), her sixth studio album. Aside from her musical pursuits, Simpson launched The Jessica Simpson Collection in 2005, which was a fashion-focused line of 34 product categories. It is the most successful celebrity license brand in history that has more than $1 billion of sales to date. Simpson also appeared in The Price of Beauty, a reality television show in the year 2010. She was also the judge for the clothes designs for Fashion Star 2 and 3. Simpson is married to Eric Johnson and has three children.
