Ashley Madekwe and Ashley Leggat
Madekwe was raised by an ethnically diverse family. Madekwe is English but her father is Nigerian. She went to The Brit School when she was 14 years old. She received her Bachelor of Arts in acting at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art. While attending the school, she was a part-time actor in several stage productions such as The King Henry V playing Princess Katherine as well as Wuthering Heights portraying Catherine Earnshaw.
Madekwe first began her acting career with Storm Damage. Since then, she's been making appearances as a guest for Teachers, Doctors Casualty Drop Dead Gorgeous. Madekwe's film debut was in Woody Allen's Cassandra's Dream (2007), with Colin Farrell. Then, she appeared in Elisha on the BBC Three pilot drama, in West 10 LDN. In addition, she appeared as Ollie for six episodes in the series Trexx, Flipside, and Flipside. The year 2008 saw her landed the role in the role of Bambi in the ITV2 Drama series Secret Diary of a Call Girl which aired in episodes two and three. Madekwe also played the main character on How to lose friends & make people feel alienated, which was released by Sony Pictures Entertainment the year 2008. She has performed in Little Sweet Thing, by Roy Williams, and Flight Path which was written directed by David Watson.
Madekwe's US debut was in 2009 when she appeared on her dramatic The Beautiful Life. The show aired just two episodes prior to being removed from The CW. Ashley Davenport was her role in ABC's drama Revenge. Madekwe starred as a regular character on the drama series of Revenge on ABC for two seasons. In May 2013 that she'd leave the series after making a guest episode in the very first episode of season three. In the TV series Salem the actress played Tituba between 2014 and 2016. Madekwe and her boyfriend of many years, Iddo Goldenberg, were married in June 2012. They've collaborated in the show Secret Diary of a Call Girl and he also had a role alongside her in the television series Salem.
Ashley Leggat is a Gemini-nominated actress who was raised in the large family. She was the daughter of Roy and Patty Leggat. Ashley Leggat joined Roy and Patty as well her older siblings, Brett, Todd and Bram as well as Rob. Ashley's brothers, who were all very active, took part in hockey during the winter months and played baseball in the summer months, which means she basically grew up in arenas and baseball parks. Ashley had never been able to walk. She was a dancer. At 2 and a 1/2, she was a part of Baby Ballet. Ashley was captivated by dance at this age. After graduating from High School, Ashley danced competitively in the top divisions in ballet, tap, jazz and pointe as well as acrobatics, musical theatre, lyrical, and hip hop. Ashley was awarded the best soloist awards at all of the main dance contests, including, International Dance Challenge, Showstoppers 5-7-8 Showtime, Flash Dance, and Dance, Dance, Dance just to mention a few.
